Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern all agreements between you ("the Client") and CAPS Cleaning and Pressure Washing Services, operated by Aleksander Grzadziel, regarding the provision of exterior cleaning and pressure washing services. By booking any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Booking and Deposits

  • A deposit is required to confirm all bookings for domestic customers and new commercial customers.

  • This deposit is typically 10% of the total quoted price, unless otherwise stated in writing.

  • Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

3. Payment Terms

Domestic Customers:

  • The remaining balance is due upon completion of agreed stages of work.

  • For example, in roof cleaning, payment is required before biocide application begins.

  • Work on the next stage will not commence until the prior stage has been settled in full.

Commercial Customers:

  • The full invoiced balance must be paid within 14 calendar days of the invoice date.

4. Late Payment Policy

  • Invoices not paid by the due date will incur daily interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, calculated from the date payment became overdue.

  • Additional court costs, administrative fees, and third-party debt recovery charges may also be applied.

5. Surface Conditions and Damage Disclaimer

  • Many surfaces may have pre-existing issues or damage not visible prior to cleaning.

  • We do not accept liability for any pre-existing damage, discolouration, or degradation revealed or worsened during or after cleaning.

  • During pressure washing, mortar pointing may be dislodged or blown out. This is a known risk of the process.

  • We do not accept responsibility for damage to pointing, but we offer repointing services which can be quoted upon request or as part of the original quotation.

6. Warranty Policy

Biocide Treatment:

  • Roofs: 24-month warranty against moss and lichen regrowth.

  • Other surfaces: 12-month warranty against moss and lichen only.

  • Weeds are excluded from this warranty. Clients are responsible for weed control and must apply suitable weedkiller at least twice annually.

Sealant Application:

  • Warranty covers the sealer product only, assuming proper post-treatment care by the client.

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance is not covered.

  • If any pointing work is carried out prior to sealing, this is not covered under the sealer warranty.

7. Soft Washing and Runoff

  • In some cases, chemical runoff from soft washing may flow onto patios or paths below, resulting in partial cleaning effects on those surfaces.

  • While we take reasonable care to control runoff, we do not accept responsibility for cleaning or restoring surfaces unintentionally affected.

  • Further cleaning can be quoted separately if desired.

8. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • If the client cancels their booking after a deposit has been paid, the deposit is non-refundable. This covers the cost of time spent on quotations, scheduling, and any materials that may have been ordered in preparation for the job.

  • Rebooking must be arranged with a minimum of 5 days’ notice prior to the scheduled service date.

  • Requests to rebook with less than 5 days’ notice may be treated as a cancellation and a new deposit may be required.

9. Access and Client Responsibilities

  • The Client is responsible for providing clear and safe access to all work areas.

  • All vehicles, furniture, plants, and fragile items should be removed or protected before the technician's arrival.

  • Water and electricity supply must be available on-site unless otherwise arranged.

10. Liability

  • We are insured for public liability and will always take reasonable care during service delivery.

  • However, we cannot be held liable for:

    • Pre-existing surface defects or damage

    • Damage caused by loose render, pointing, or other materials during cleaning

    • Effects caused by runoff, wind dispersal of cleaning agents, or force majeure events

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the UK courts.
